Conspiracy theorists claim that 2Pac faked his own death. His management allegedly used the conspiracy hype as a bold PR strategy. The posthumous album ‘The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory’ was promoted with posters that encouraged fans to listen very closely for hidden messages. The album was released under the pseudonym ‘Makaveli’ – a reference to Niccolò Machiavelli, who in his work ‘The Prince’ described faking one’s death as a strategy to deceive enemies.
However, the idea that 2Pac has been silently watching for decades how his legacy is exploited doesn’t quite fit with the outspoken musician’s character.
