The Bermuda Triangle is an area in the western Atlantic that is notorious for a high number of mysterious incidents where ships and planes disappear without a trace or experience unexplained events. Scientists have proposed various explanations, including human error, difficult weather conditions, ocean currents, methane gas eruptions from the seabed and piracy. One popular conspiracy theory is that the US government is conducting secret experiments in the Bermuda Triangle to test new technologies or investigate the influence of extraterrestrials.
