Boston Marathon Bombing

On April 15, 2013, two explosive devices detonated during the Boston Marathon, resulting in three deaths and 264 injuries. Conspiracy theories quickly circulated, suggesting it was a black op – an illegal intelligence operation. Alex Jones claimed that members of the US Navy Seals unit had been in the area of the finish line with backpacks containing the bombs. Other theories from radical Christians posited that the attacks were a retribution from God due to the state of Massachusetts legalizing marriage for same-sex couples. However, there is no evidence to support these speculations, as the Tsarnaev brothers have been identified as the perpetrators beyond any doubt. Their motive is suspected to be religious fanaticism, a mental disorder, or excessive hatred.
