The conspiracy myth surrounding ‚Club 27‘ states that the death of several music legends at the age of 27 is no coincidence. This exclusive club includes Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones (Rolling Stones), Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison (The Doors), Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) and Amy Winehouse.
A common theory claims that the mysterious deaths are part of a music industry conspiracy. Allegedly, the stars had gained too much influence so that they literally had to be silenced. This allowed the dark forces behind the music industry to maintain their control over pop culture.
In reality, however, the deaths have less spectacular causes and can be attributed to drug abuse and psychological stress.
