As part of the secret research program MK ULTRA, the CIA conducted thousands of human experiments from 1953 for almost 20 years. The goal was to test mind control techniques and develop an effective truth serum. Electroshocks and hallucinogenic drugs were also used in these experiments. Test subjects were arbitrarily selected from hospital patients and prison inmates, and the experiments were mostly conducted without their knowledge. The consequences included psychological and physical damage, even leading to death. Conspiracy theorists believe that the program still exists today and operates on a larger scale. They claim that popular Disney cartoons and movies are actually insidious brainwashing tools for the (re)programming of millions of children. However, there is no evidence for these outlandish claims.
