"Is it true that everything is both true and false at the same time?"
Heisenberg's uncertainty principle is a central concept in quantum mechanics. It states that certain properties of a particle, such as its position and momentum (its movement), cannot be precisely determined at the same time. The more accurately one property is measured, the less accurately the other can be known. This uncertainty is not a limitation of our instruments but a fundamental property of nature. Conspiracy myths often invoke this principle to claim that reality is flexible and open to manipulation. Some suggest a secret elite uses the laws of quantum mechanics to trap us in an artificial reality. Physicists, however, emphasise that the uncertainty principle is no licence for such speculations.
