Mass Media Manipulation

Conspiracy theorists are convinced that a secret elite controls all mainstream media companies, influencing public opinion in their favour. Additionally, they would conduct targeted disinformation campaigns on the internet and social media using AI, bots, and al- gorithms to manipulate elections, stir up animosity among people, and sow chaos. Their goal is to divide and weaken society to the point where it can be seamlessly transitioned into the New World Order (NWO) under their rule.
While this scenario is a highly implausible conspiracy myth, the increasing spread of fake news is considered a serious threat to democracy.
