Philadelphia Experiment

Did you know that during WWII, the US Navy conducted a secret experiment using a cloaking technique that caused a warship to vanish into thin air? The ship called USS Eldridge was allegedly made completely invisible with a strong magnetic force field and teleported through space and time. From one moment to the next, it disappeared from the port of Philadelphia and reappeared 500 km away in Norfolk. The ship then returned to Philadelphia within seconds. However, many of the witnesses later admitted that they had invented or exaggerated their stories. The theory is also implausible when the findings of modern physics are taken into account: a strong magnetic field alone cannot cause invisibility, let alone teleportation.
