Teleportation
"Is teleportation being used for covert operations?"
In conspiracy myths, teleportation is often portrayed as a futuristic technology secretly developed and deployed by governments or clandestine organisations. A well-known example is the Philadelphia Experiment: during World War II, the US Navy allegedly attempted to make the warship USS Eldridge invisible – and inadvertently teleported it. Supposedly, the ship appeared 500 kilometres away in Norfolk, Virginia, before rematerialising in Philadelphia. Historians have debunked the story as a myth, pointing out that the ship was not even in Philadelphia at the claimed times. To date, no technology for teleportation exists – except, of course, in science fiction movies like Star Wars.
