"Are the elites trying to cause the third world war (WWIII)?"

Many conspiracy theorists believe that secret elites have long since taken control of the levers of power. Now, these villains are plotting the outbreak of a global war. Like in a James Bond movie, they would be playing Russian roulette with humanity.
While there is no evidence that any elites – secret or not – are orchestrating such a conflict, the danger of a global war is real. Beyond a nuclear showdown between major powers, an attack on a country’s critical infrastructure could also trigger worldwide escalation. Fortunately, this threat appears minimal for now. But what if, one day, a narcissistic autocrat comes to power – say, in the USA? … Oops!
